Bracelet Organization

Now that its springtime I like to take time & organize my jewelry, the problem with that, is my jewelry is spread out everywhere, I don’t have a designated spot for it. So I know that if I wanted to organize all my jewelry it would take a while, so I broke it down into categories that will be done on specific days. First my bracelets, I feel like I don’t have as many as necklaces or earrings, so it wouldn’t take too long. Especially since every time I clean out my purses I seem to find them there. For the past week I have been placing all the bracelets on the spare bedroom, till it was time to organize them. I went thru each one & the ones I haven’t used in over a year, I knew it was time to let them go. I wouldn’t miss them I had learned to live without them for quite some time. I brought an organizer, to store the bracelets I use more frequently, that way it would be a lot easier to find. I knew they where not all going to fit there but I did not any more of the organizers, especially since I was going to use one for necklaces, earrings & bracelets, it seemed like too much. The point of my cleaning was to de-clutter & make my jewelry more accessible. Plus I knew I had many empty boxes in my closet, so why not reuse, what I already had. I found two empty Juicy Couture boxes, which I thought where really cute to use for storage. One from my Juicy Couture perfume set, which I placed the smaller bracelets in & another from my pajama set for all my other bracelets that where left over. I love to save boxes especially when they are unique & sturdy; I know I will find a special use for them, eventually. I also bought snack bags this was for all the bracelets I no longer wanted, or needed to be repaired, it would keep them nice & organized & from getting tangled together. I figured it was time to sell the items I no longer used. So time to start selling once again on Ebay.

DMSX by Donald J Pliner

Now that the weather is getting nicer it’s time to bring out & dust off my sandals & open toe shoes, they have been in hiding for the winter. While sorting thru my shoes I came across my DMSX shoe collection. I discovered this brand of shoes while shopping at Carson Pirie Scott it’s by Donald J Pliner. I was really attracted to the purple soles that the shoes have, plus I thought I had seen every nude shoe until I came across the “Latoya” which is a peep-toe with a neon yellow heel. I could just imagine the infinite possibilities of wearing these pumps, so of course I had to buy them. They had them in other colors also with the purple soles, which most of the shoes in this collection have, but that neon heel was the reason I chose the nude. They came in white with a neon pink heel, tan with a red heel & metallic snake print with black heel, which I later also bought. I guess it was my lucky day because they where also on sale so I decided why not get another pair so I purchased the “Tneal” which is a Metallic Silver Pewter Print Pump. They are reasonably priced compared to the Donald J Pliner Collection. I started to do some research because I had never heard of this brand & the shoes where really eye catching with all the mixed colors. The DMSX Collection, which from what I read, was inspired by Prince’s song “Dance Music Sex Romance” was meant to cater to a younger consumer. After another shopping spree I acquired a couple more pairs from this collection, also at Carson Pirie Scott. After a couple of months it’s like the brand disappeared, there is no sign of DMSX so I’m wondering if this was just a limited edition collection. So has anyone bought any of these shoes & what do you think of them?
