This months spotlight is on this Dolce Vita “Ferris” shoe in black. I really loved the cutout details on this stiletto heel. It also has metal studded details on the sides of the heel so it’s not just plain black. Plus it’s a closed heel which I don’t own many of. Mine are typically open-toe heels in suede.
I think fall marks the beginning of boot & sweater season. As the temperature begins to drop it’s time to store my sandals & take my boots out. I like to wear the open toe booties type until it begins to rain or snow. Every year I like to go shopping and find me some cute black ones to add to my fall collection, even though I own a couple of pairs. They are so versatile you can wear them with jeans and a cute sweater, leggings or even a dress for a casual look. I also keep my rain boots handy because here in Chicago the weather changes drastically from one day to another. So here are a few of my favorite Open Toe Booties
1. Jessica Simpson Abbear 2. Guess Anavey
3. Vince Camuto Kalista 4. Sam Edelman Aubriana
5. Chinese Laundry Jupiter 6. Steve Madden Stinggg
7. BCBGeneration Gavin 8. Michael Kors Ailee
9. Juicy Couture Fabia 10. Zara Open Work Sandal
It seems that lately I have been obsessed with Silver Metallic shoes, all kinds. From the moment I laid my eyes on the Sam Edelman Silver Metallic Oxfords I knew that they had to be in my closet. And I have been on the hunt ever since adding to my shoe obsession. Here are a few Silver Metallic shoes I have added to my collection. All I’m looking for now are some strappy heels.
- Sam Edelman “Jerome” Metallic Oxford
2. Jessica Simpson “Calkins” Gunmetal Pump
3. Call It Spring “Suviana” Silver Ballet Flat
4. Aldo “Galelawen” Silver Pump
This months Spotlight is on the Vince Camuto Latese. When I first saw these shoes at the department store I knew I had to have them, these are some “HOT” shoes. I went with the Bronze color, they also come in Silver. The main reason I loved this shoe is the large ankle cuff followed by the color. But with a 4 ½” heel these are not very comfortable sandals, but most gorgeous shoes aren’t. So I’ve only worn them once for a couple of hours and got many compliments. Even though they are a bit uncomfortable that did not stop me from going back & purchasing the Silver ones.
Now that the weather is getting nicer it’s time to bring out & dust off my sandals & open toe shoes, they have been in hiding for the winter. While sorting thru my shoes I came across my DMSX shoe collection. I discovered this brand of shoes while shopping at Carson Pirie Scott it’s by Donald J Pliner. I was really attracted to the purple soles that the shoes have, plus I thought I had seen every nude shoe until I came across the “Latoya” which is a peep-toe with a neon yellow heel. I could just imagine the infinite possibilities of wearing these pumps, so of course I had to buy them. They had them in other colors also with the purple soles, which most of the shoes in this collection have, but that neon heel was the reason I chose the nude. They came in white with a neon pink heel, tan with a red heel & metallic snake print with black heel, which I later also bought. I guess it was my lucky day because they where also on sale so I decided why not get another pair so I purchased the “Tneal” which is a Metallic Silver Pewter Print Pump. They are reasonably priced compared to the Donald J Pliner Collection. I started to do some research because I had never heard of this brand & the shoes where really eye catching with all the mixed colors. The DMSX Collection, which from what I read, was inspired by Prince’s song “Dance Music Sex Romance” was meant to cater to a younger consumer. After another shopping spree I acquired a couple more pairs from this collection, also at Carson Pirie Scott. After a couple of months it’s like the brand disappeared, there is no sign of DMSX so I’m wondering if this was just a limited edition collection. So has anyone bought any of these shoes & what do you think of them?
